Furniture Store: Fire & Rebuild

On the morning of June 29, 2011, the landmark Kloter Farms Furniture Store burned in a three-alarm fire. Employees, friends, family and volunteers from the community gathered together. Initial shock gave way to overwhelming relief with the realization that no one was injured and the fire was contained and extinguished in less than 30 minutes.

Within one week of the fire, a construction plan was made to remodel the front portion of the Kloter Farms Warehouse. The large 8,000 square foot room was stripped, gutted and refurbished.

Then just a few weeks shy of six months of the fire we were able to tear down our burned store. It was the first step in moving forward on rebuilding the retail store and the days were filled with some painful memories and yet a promise of hope.

We are now in the rebuild process and construction is progessing quickly. We've made some modifications to the layout while still maintaining the Kloter farms charm and style our customer (and we!) love.

A Bit of History: Sales Office Construction 2008
Everything was moved out of the way, the driveway was relocated, new sidewalks are installed. The main level of this building is our Outdoor Sales Office. The main business office is located on the second floor, and in August 2010, the lower level was finished into the new Kloter Farms Sleep Center featuring hand made mattresses.
